The Amsterdamse Bostheater is an open-air theatre, located in the middle of the woods, not too far from the Amsterdam city centre. In summer, it's the place to go for theatre performances, movie nights, and concerts. Get out of the city, and into nature! On a sultry summer evening, you can enjoy the best music or theatre performances cooled by the end of day breeze.
The Amsterdamse Bostheater is an open-air theatre that boasts one of the largest stages in the Netherlands. A venue where you can enjoy countless concerts, films, theatre performances, youth performances and Bosfest, a location theatre festival for a new generation of theatre makers. Every summer, a renowned Dutch theatre company performs a major production in this beautiful setting in the Amsterdam woods. Notice the sun go down during the performance and enjoy the final scene played under a darkening – and sometimes even starry sky.
