The Bostheater’s season annually runs from April to September. In winter, no activities are open to the public. With the exception of hiring the theater for a meeting or private event.

The Bostheater is open to the public at various times:
If there’s a concert, the theater opens from 18:00 to 01:00.
On evenings when a theatre performance is staged, the theater opens from 18:30 till 01:00. On days when there are children’s performances, the theater opens 30 minutes before the kids performance starts.
By bike or by car
The Bostheater is easy to access either by bike or by car. There is a public, free parking area with plenty of spaces, approx. 100 meters from the entrance to the theater.
Directions: drive from the Amstelveenseweg onto the Bosbaanweg. Turn left at the T-junction. Continue along the Bosbaanweg (keeping the water on your right) and turn left into the park halfway along the Bosbaan. You are now on the road called De Duizendmeterweg. Drive all the way to the end. Park your car here or park your bike at the beginning of the footpath. Follow the footpath. After about 100 meters you will see wooden gate with our office on your right. A little further along, on your left, there are public toilets, one of them for people with disabilities. And after an additional 100 meters (up a slight incline) you will have reached the theater entrance.
Please note: during rowing events, the Bosbaanweg (the main road leading to the theater) is closed. The Bostheater can still be accessed via the alternative route.
As a rule, the Bosbaan will be blocked off until approximately 18:00.
Accessibility for people with disabilities
At 200 meters from the theater entrance, there are a limited number of accessible parking spaces designated for people with disabilities. Unfortunately, we cannot block a parking space for you as this is a public parking facility. Do you need to reserve a wheelchair space for spectators on our grand stand? Send an e-mail to publiek@bostheater.nl. List your name, the (name and) date of the event and how many people will be in your party.
By public transport:
Unfortunately, traveling to the Bostheater by public transport is not as convenient. The nearest bus stop is the Amstelveenseweg. From this stop it is more than a 40 minute walk to the theater. We advise visitors who come by train to rent an OV- bike at Amsterdam Zuid station. For more information about OV-bike rental, click here.
