Privacy Statement of the Amsterdamse Bostheater

The Amsterdamse Bostheater is located and has offices at De Duizendmeterweg 7, 1182 DC Amstelveen. The Amsterdamse Bostheater respects the privacy of its customers and of all visitors of the website www.bostheater.nl (hereinafter: the Website) and/or the Event (hereinafter jointly: the Visitor). The Amsterdamse Bostheater ensures that personal data is treated confidentially. Personal data is processed in accordance with the legal provisions as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act and, as of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation.

Applicability
This Privacy Statement provides information about the processing of personal data by or on behalf of Het Amsterdamse Bostheater and only applies to the use of personal data of Visitors to the Website and/or the Event.
This Privacy Statement does not apply to third-party websites, such as websites or apps to which Het Amsterdamse Bostheater refers on its Website and in its mailings. The Amsterdamse Bostheater advises Visitors to consult the privacy policies of these third parties on the relevant websites.

Identity The Amsterdamse Bostheater
The Amsterdamse Bostheater respects the privacy of its customers and all its Visitors. The Amsterdamse Bostheater ensures that personal data is treated confidentially. Personal data is processed in accordance with the legal provisions as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act and, as of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation.

This Privacy Statement provides information about the collection and processing of personal data by or on behalf of Het Amsterdamse Bostheater.

The Amsterdamse Bostheater is located and has offices at De Duizendmeterweg 7, 1182 DC Amstelveen. The Amsterdamse Bostheater can be reached via the email address publiek@bostheater.nl.

The Visitor is not obliged to provide personal data. However, the provision of certain personal data is a necessary condition for good service.

What personal data does the Amsterdamse Bostheater collect?
When purchasing tickets for the Event, the Visitor may be asked (whether or not by the relevant (pre)sales organization) for personal data, such as name, (email) address and telephone number, which Het Amsterdamse Bostheater then receives from the (pre)sales organization. In addition, Het Amsterdamse Bostheater may use personal data of Visitors, such as name, (email) address and telephone number, which it obtains directly from Visitors when orders are placed with the Amsterdamse Bostheater via the Website. The Amsterdamse Bostheater can also obtain web surfing data (including IP address, date and time of visit to the website) from Visitors of the Website.

In order to register a payment instrument obtained from the Amsterdamse Bostheater for the event, such as a wristband or debit card with which refreshments can be paid during the Event, the Visitor will be asked to provide an e-mail address and password. In order to be able to refund the outstanding amount of credit deposited by the Visitor on a registered payment instrument to the Visitor in the event of loss or theft, the Visitor will be asked to provide information such as name, e-mail, bank account number and telephone number of the Visitor and inspection of a valid ID of the Visitor is required.

During the Event, data from Visitors may be processed by Het Amsterdamse Bostheater or a media partner, such as registering (with camera) or having the Event registered, with or without camera surveillance.

For what purposes are data processed?
The Amsterdamse Bostheater primarily uses the personal data obtained to best perform the agreement it concludes with Visitors in the context of visiting the Event or the Website, and for internal administration. The Amsterdamse Bostheater can use personal data:

  • for the purpose of delivering the ordered tickets or products to the right person;
  • if the Visitor chooses to use a payment instrument purchased from Het Amsterdamse Bostheater, to be able to link it to the Visitor in order to block the payment instrument in the event of loss or theft;
  • to be able to refund any remaining credit on a payment instrument obtained by the Visitor of Het Amsterdamse Bostheater in the event of loss or theft to the Visitor and to be able to take security measures in this regard and prevent fraud as much as possible;
  • to inform the Visitor about changes regarding tickets and/or about concerts and events organized by Het Amsterdamse Bostheater, for example via a newsletter;
  • for the purpose of entering into, maintaining and improving the contractual relationship with its (potential) customers, or for improving the services and products;
  • for the application and execution of legal obligations.

The Amsterdamse Bostheater or a media partner can make video and/or sound recordings during the Event. Het Amsterdamse Bostheater can use these recordings on the Website or to promote the Event via social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube. In addition, the recordings can be used on the media channels of the media partner(s), including radio and/or television. Het Amsterdamse Bostheater can use recordings made in the context of camera surveillance for security purposes.

The Amsterdamse Bostheater can send newsletters by e-mail. If the Visitor no longer wishes to receive a newsletter, he or she can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Any backups of the stored data made by Het Amsterdamse Bostheater for the optimal functioning of the systems will only be used to restore the systems in the event of a malfunction.

The data will not be used for purposes other than those described above.

Surfing data and click behavior
Surfing data that Het Amsterdamse Bostheater collects can be stored and used to statistically analyze and optimize visits to and use of the Website. Surfing data is anonymized (as far as possible). Only anonymized data can be passed on to third parties, such as Google Analytics.

Cookies and Google Analytics
The Amsterdamse Bostheater reserves the right, like most websites, to collect information by using so-called “cookies” to facilitate navigation in the website. Cookies are small pieces of information (files) that a website leaves on a computer. The website instructs the web browser used to view the website (for example Internet Explorer) to store these cookies on the computer. Cookies can be disabled via the web browser settings.
The Amsterdamse Bostheater uses Google Analytics to gain insight into the use of the website. This information, including IP address, is provided to Google solely to use this Google service.
Cookies from Google are also placed via the website as part of the Google Analytics service. The Amsterdamse Bostheater has no influence on what Google does with the information obtained in this way.

Social networks
The Event Website contains buttons that are linked to social networks, including Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. The relevant social networks can place cookies via these buttons. Het Amsterdamse Bostheater has no influence on the use by those parties. The relevant social networks are independently responsible for the use and provision of data obtained in this way. The privacy policy and general terms and conditions of the relevant social networks apply to this use.

Image and/or Sound recordings
The Amsterdamse Bostheater or a media partner can make image and/or sound recordings of the Visitors for the promotion and/or (concert) registration of the Event. These recordings may be made public or reproduced via various media channels of Het Amsterdamse Bostheater and/or media partner(s), without the Amsterdamse Bostheater or media partners having to pay compensation to the Visitor.

Camera surveillance
Camera surveillance may take place for the safety of the Visitor and the security of persons, buildings and grounds.
There are visible security cameras at various places at the event location. When entering the Event grounds, the Visitor is informed of the presence of camera surveillance.
In the event of an emergency, these recordings can be provided as supporting material to government agencies, including the police and the judiciary.

Retention period
The Amsterdamse Bostheater does not store personal data longer than necessary for the execution of the agreements and in any case no longer than two years after the agreement has been terminated, unless this is necessary to comply with a legal retention obligation. Camera images from security cameras are kept for a maximum of 28 days.

Inspection, correction and objection
The Visitor must ensure that Het Amsterdamse Bostheater has the correct personal data. Visitors can submit a written objection to the use of certain data by Het Amsterdamse Bostheater to Het Amsterdamse Bostheater via the e-mail address publiek@bostheater.nl, or request access to, correction and/or deletion of its (personal) data. Any corrections communicated by the Visitor will be processed upon written request.
The Visitor can withdraw permission for the use of his personal data via the e-mail address publiek@bostheater.nl. Withdrawal of consent does not affect lawful use of personal data prior to the withdrawal of consent.
Complaints about the use of personal data can be addressed to Het Amsterdamse Bostheater or to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Sharing and transfer of data
The Amsterdamse Bostheater is authorized to share Visitor’s data with companies affiliated with Het Amsterdamse Bostheater, parent and sister companies, and with parties that Het Amsterdamse Bostheater engages for the performance of its services, including in connection with the purposes mentioned above, such as for promotion and/or (concert) registration of the Event.
Het Amsterdamse Bostheater may provide Visitor’s information without specific permission due to legal obligations imposed on Het Amsterdamse Bostheater and/or in response to requests from authorities.
Because Het Amsterdamse Bostheater uses third parties in its services, who provide services on behalf of Het Amsterdamse Bostheater, whereby (unless otherwise stated) personal data of Visitors can be used, Het Amsterdamse Bostheater can also provide that data to these third parties in that context. The Amsterdamse Bostheater has concluded the necessary agreements to ensure that personal data is processed and protected in line with European and Dutch legislation.

Security
The Amsterdamse Bostheater takes the protection of personal data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
If the Visitor has the impression that his or her data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, or if the Visitor would like more information about the security of personal data collected by Het Amsterdamse Bostheater, he or she can contact publiek@bostheater.nl.

Amendments
The Amsterdamse Bostheater reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement. The Visitor is advised to regularly study the current Privacy Statement with regard to changes. If these changes are substantial, Het Amsterdamse Bostheater will clearly inform the Visitor of this via the Website or in an e-mail addressed to the Visitor.
