Altın Gün will play in our open air theater on sunday august 1oth, 2025!

Altın Gün means ‘golden day’, and the six band members experience it themselves. This critically acclaimed band breathes new life into traditional Turkish folk music with a unique blend of psychedelic rock, deep funk, synth pop and cosmic reggae. The result? An irresistible and hypnotic sound. Since their debut album “On” (2018), Altın Gün has made a splash on the music scene worldwide. A year later, the album ‘Gece’ earned a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album.

The band, founded by bassist Jasper Verhulst, draws inspiration from retro-Anatolian records from the sixties and seventies, in which the influence of bands such as The Doors and Led Zeppelin can be heard. Live, Altın Gün is a true sensation: from Coachella to Lowlands and Primavera Sound, they turn venues and festivals upside down with their performances.

On Sunday, August 10, Altın Gün will play a show in the open-air theater of the Amsterdamse Bos! We can’t wait to experience this golden day with you. Make sure to be there!
