On Monday, August 19, we welcome the Grammy-winning Corinne Bailey Rae to the Amsterdamse Bos, where she will perform her latest album ‘Black Rainbows’!
On her fourth album ‘Black Rainbows’, Corinne Bailey Rae shows a completely different side of herself. She exchanges the soul and pop genre for a more experimental mix of punk and modern dance.
For this album, Corinne Bailey Rae got inspired by the objects in the Stony Island Arts Bank museum in Chicago. Using curated collections of black archives from America’s past, the two-time Grammy winner explores themes of black femininity, incantation, the collapse of time, ancestors, and music as a tool for transcendence.
The open-air concert at our theatre is entirely dedicated to this album. So don’t let this opportunity pass you by to experience the new music of Corinne Bailey Rae live with us in the Amsterdamse Bostheater!
