Spinoza
A brand-new musical, the NITE way. A story about the courage to think differently — set in and inspired by Amsterdam. Performing exclusively at the Bostheater this summer!
Two best friends haven’t seen each other in years. Albert died long ago, while Aydin has only just arrived in the afterlife. When they reunite, they are forced to confront their past: their friendship, addiction, and loss. In this place, where nothing seems to exist, they are left at the mercy of fate. Or do they still have a choice? The Last Minutes is a raw performance—absurdist, yet deeply moving. It explores life, farewell, and the question of whether you can ever truly escape yourself.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ “In an almost cinematic setting, Theater RAST manages to build a tension well worth enduring a little rain for.” — NRC
About Theater RAST
The Dutch makers of RAST create accessible, musical theater productions rooted in their Turkish-Kurdish DNA, focusing on socially pressing themes and aiming to contribute to connection within an ever-changing society. RAST has increasingly developed into the leading home for Dutch-Turkish performing arts, where creators from different generations find a place. Whether it is the feminist urban storytelling of Aysegül Karaca, the personal narratives of Sidar Toksöz, or the light-touch approach to complex themes by Ferhat Kaplan, Theater RAST brings stories to the stage that are not commonly seen on Dutch theater platforms.
About Ferhat Kaplan
Ferhat Kaplan (1992) left the marketing world in 2020 to fully devote himself to theater and screen. Since then, he has emerged as a distinctive new voice within the Dutch film and theater landscape. His work is raw, sincere, and socially engaged, exploring themes of identity, heritage, and humanity. For RAST, he created his first site-specific performance Bergen Verzet , which premiered at the Oerol Festival. This autumn, he returns to the theater with Inzichtelijk Rijk .
