Novastar

After an unforgettable evening in 2022 at Live At Amsterdamse Bos, singer-songwriter Joost Zweegers, better known as Novastar, returns to our woods this season! On Monday, August 5, his emotional and intimate pop-rock sounds will dance again across the stands of our open-air theater.

The Dutchman, who lives in Belgium, is one of the strongest singer-songwriters of the low lands. In 2000, his debut album immediately reached number one on the Belgian album charts in the first week, after which many successful albums followed. Novastar has also released music in recent years. In 2018 the successful album ‘In The Cold Light of Monday’ was released and in 2021 he added ‘Holler And Shout’.

At the end of 2023, Novastar announced the release of ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’, a unique collection with reissues of his biggest hits plus a brand new song. To celebrate the release of this album, which was released on February 16 2024, Novastar will play some intimate shows this year, including the concert on August 5 in our venue!

After 2 years, Novastar can be seen and heard with new material and old classics in a special setting, between the trees in the Amsterdamse Bos. The best is yet to come!
