The Cat Empire is back and they’re playing our open-air theater on Monday, July 1, 2024! Formed in 1999, this band brings an eclectic mix of genres and an explosive energy that makes you want to be a part of it.

A new era of The Cat Empire has begun and with a new line-up of talented musicians, including original members Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill, they bring a breath of fresh air to their signature sound. New faces such as the award-winning Grace Barbe on bass and vocals, and the Cuban trumpeter and singer Lazaro Numa, add an extra dimension to this formation.

For The Cat Empire fans, Daniel Farrugia’s drumming will not be unknown. He toured with the band several times. The percussion section is reinforced by Neda Rahmani, whose love of language and community has connected her to Afro and Brazilian drumming cultures in Australia and around the world.
